The secret behind the Mercedes name : Mercédès Adrienne Ramona Manuela Jellinek (September 16, 1889 – February 23, 1929) was the little girl of Austrian car business visionary Emil Jellinek and his significant other Rachel Goggmann Cenrobert. She was conceived in Vienna. She is best known for her dad having Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft's line of Mercedes autos named after her, start with the Mercedes 35 hp model of 1901. Likewise, at the 1902 Paris Automobile presentation, her dad hung a vast photo of her.

Mercédès lived in Vienna, and was famous for wedding twice shockingly. She had a brilliant wedding in 1909 in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur, with Baron von Schlosser. The couple lived in Vienna until World War I, which destroyed them. They had two kids; Elfriede (b. 1912) and Hans-Peter (b. 1916). In 1918, Mercédès was asking for nourishment in the avenues. Somewhat later, abandoning her better half and two youngsters, she wedded Baron Rudolf von Weigl, a gifted yet poor artist. She played music and had a decent soprano voice, however never shared her dad's energy for autos. She kicked the bucket in Vienna from bone tumor in 1929, at 39 years old, and was covered in Vienna in the family grave close to her granddad, the previous boss rabbi of Vienna, Adolf Jellinek.

In 1926, the Daimler organization converged with the Benz organization. Despite the fact that the organization exchanged as Daimler-Benz it gave the name Mercedes-Benz to its autos to safeguard the regarded Mercedes marque.
