The secret behind the Mercedes name : Mercédès Adrienne Ramona Manuela Jellinek (September 16, 1889 – February 23, 1929) was the little girl of Austrian car business visionary Emil Jellinek and his significant other Rachel Goggmann Cenrobert. She was conceived in Vienna. She is best known for her dad having Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft's line of Mercedes autos named after her, start with the Mercedes 35 hp model of 1901. Likewise, at the 1902 Paris Automobile presentation, her dad hung a vast photo of her.

Mercédès lived in Vienna, and was famous for wedding twice shockingly. She had a brilliant wedding in 1909 in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur, with Baron von Schlosser. Somewhat later, abandoning her better half and two youngsters, she wedded Baron Rudolf von Weigl, a gifted yet poor artist. She played music and had a decent soprano voice, however never shared her dad's energy for autos.
